Day 2: Masai Mara. After breakfast an early morning game drive. In the early morning, wild animals such as felines have just woken up and are hunting for prey. This is often the right time to watch a lion catch prey. However, it is also a matter of luck. After the game drive, return to the camp / lodge for lunch. After lunch we do another game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara. A full day with game drives, optional a walk or a visit to a Masai village in between meals. The Masai village is located within walking distance of the camping pitch in the Mara. The Masai live in a manyata where the houses are built of clay and cow dung. Dried by the sun, it forms a very hard mass that protects against rain and wildlife. There is a musty smell in the huts because the hut is almost completely closed except for the entrance. Cooking, firing and living here is done in a very limited space that is also shared with the goats and chickens. A visit to the Masai village is not included and costs about USD 10 per person. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.
Day 4: Mara – Nakuru. After breakfast departure to Lake Nakuru National Park, picnic lunch en route, arrival in Nakuru late afternoon. Here we check into a budget hotel outside the park. The cook prepares dinner and we have it in the restaurant of the hotel. If you have booked a safari lodge, you will spend the night at Lake Nakuru lodge. We don’t do a game drive until the next day.
Day 5: Nakuru – Samburu. After breakfast to Nakuru National Park for an early morning game drive. This park is known for the millions of flamingos and rich in other bird species. Also present is a rhino sanctuary and of course there are other wild animals. Upon arrival we disembark to walk to the lake which offers a magnificent view of the millions of pink flamingos. After lunch we leave for Samburu. Arrival late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.
Day 6: Samburu. After breakfast to the park for an early morning game drive. Return to the camp / lodge for lunch. Another game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge. Samburu is known for its Roth shield giraffes; these have a different marking than the Masai giraffes. Also known is the Grevy zebra, which has a different stripe pattern than the other zebras that can be seen in the other parks. The Grevy zebra is only found in Samburu. Furthermore, this park has elephants, lions and other felines.
Day 7: Samburu – Mount Kenya. An early morning game drive in Samburu. Departure after breakfast for Mount Kenya. This mountain has a height of 5199 m and has already been climbed by many tourists as an aperitif to the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. Mount Kenya has an animal kingdom of elephants.
Day 8: Mount Kenya – Nairobi. After breakfast you will leave for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch, dinner and overnight in a budget hotel or if you have booked a lodge safari a mid-class / luxury hotel. (It all depends what you have requested and paid for)

( optional is a flight from Nairobi to Arusha at additional cost)
Day 10: After breakfast at your accommodation, an allocated Tanzania tour guide will be at the hotel or place of residence for pick up and briefing about the trip. After the briefing, you will then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival at the park, you have lunch then proceed for an afternoon game drive. The park is home to the shallow soda lakes which attracts a variety of wildlife species including one of Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. One of the unique attractions in the park includes the tree climbing lions as well as the large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. After the game drive, you will transfer to a booked hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park. Start the day with breakfast then transfer to Serengeti National Park driving through the beautiful high lying farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti plains are at times referred to as endless because of the vastness of the park. Game drive and lunch en-route. Arrival at the campsite/ lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Have breakfast then go for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti plains. The game drive takes you along the Sogore River circuit which twists into the plains south of the Seronera River. Since this is a water area, wildlife collects in this area to quench its thirst. Some of the wildlife animals to look out for here include lions, Thompson gazelle, topi, and cheetahs. After the morning game drive, return to the hotel for lunch or have a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon take a game drive on the kopjes. After this evening game drive, return to a preferred accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast you will be transferred to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Boasting a high population of wildlife, the Ngorongoro crater offers spectacular wildlife viewing sights. Later on, you will visit Lake Magadi which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner that attracts the pink flamingos. Transfer to campsite or lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Norongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, you will head out to the beautiful Ngorongoro crater for a tour. Have a game drive in the crater then enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool. After enjoying lunch with very spectacular views, you will then be transferred to Tarangire National Park. On arrival at the park, check-in and drive through the gigantic Baobab at the entrance, see the mischievous monkeys darting about in the shade. Continue inside the park to the Tarangire River that is lined with acacia and Baobab where wildlife cluster all day long. With the river being a collective point for most of the wildlife from the Masai steppe. Have a short game drive en route to your booked accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.
Day 16 – 21: Spend 5 nights 6 days at the tropical beautiful Island Zanzibar. Enjoy the white pearly sandy beaches, discover Stone town with the Arabic vendors in the small streets, smell the species and swim with turtles. There is plenty to do.
